Robotic welding cells
Welding is an assembly process that is already largely automated and robotic, yet it is still constantly evolving. There are various types of robotic welding solutions, on the one hand comprehensive solutions and on the other more autonomous intelligent solutions.
Our multi-process expertise allows us to comprehend your needs for global solutions by integrating different processes – chamfering, welding, grinding, leveling, high-frequency prestress peening – opening a whole range of welding operations.
Our welding engineers are experts in metallurgy and laboratory analysis and complete our robotic expertise to advise and support you during technical choice stages.
As well as vision and autonomous movement technologies applied to robotic welding cells, our teams provide you with more autonomous and intelligent solutions. Indeed, we develop systems able to adapt to the trajectories of the joints to be welded and solutions that relocate independently to allow welding operations on large dimensions.

The ASPEN project covers the automation of welding operations for shipbuilding assembly. It aims to develop the two components necessary to automate the production of a single weld bead over a large dimension:
For this, linear welds are performed by a welding cobot. Operators can thus concentrate on controlling it, verifying the operations and to making most complex welds.
TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC RESULTS:
During this project GEBE2 is working closely with the brand SERVISOUD, expert since 30 years in the development of special welding machines.
PARTNERS: IRT Jules Verne, CETIM, Europe Technologies, Naval Group, Les Chantiers de l’Atlantique, LS2N (UMR CNRS)
This study is part of the ASPEN project managed by IRT Jules Verne (French Institute in Research and Technology in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies for Composite, Metallic and Hybrid Structures). The authors wish to associate the industrial and academic partners of this project; Respectively Chantiers de l’Atlantique, Naval Group, CETIM, LS2N (UMR CNRS), Europe Technologies.
In order to offer you robotic welding solutions that are as close as possible to your needs, GEBE2 has joined with SONIMAT, a specialist in thermoplastic welding processes.
Thus, thanks to the combination of our respective expertise and know-how, we are able to robotize the following welding processes
Robotic welding guarantees efficiency, speed and optimum assembly quality for your thermoplastic parts.
